Commemorated: verb; to honor the memory of somebody or something in a ceremony Freedman: noun; a person who has been freed from slavery.

Military Occupation: noun; situation in which the control and authority over a territory passes to a hostile and/or conquering army. The territory then becomes occupied territory.

Rally: noun; a large meeting or gathering of people, usually organized by a movement or political party and intended to inspire and generate enthusiasm among those present
